Since MP and I have decided to wait a year or so ( hopefully sooner) to buy a new home I have been dying to make a few improvements in our cute little townhouse. I think it's some kind of post partum energy that I have, that and now that I'm working part time and Trae still takes frequent naps throughout the day that leaves me with projects to do!
My first project was the kitchen, I originally wanted orange stripes....well when I was finished the stripes turned out sideways so then I just painted the whole thing one color and it has bugged me since. So... 2 1/2 years later I have finally changed it! I wanted a warmer feel to the kitchen so I did a burnt orange.
My next project was our bedroom. We really are in desperate need of new bedroom furniture but we still want to wait for our new home. Half of our furniture is black and the other half was this light color, so I just made it all black to match. I am not the craftiest person but I think it all turned out pretty dang good! I can now live with it for a little bit longer:)

is this true? Do you really get a blast of energy and creativity after having a baby!? Ok, I'll be honest, I think you're just lucky, I'm not going to hold my breath. All the changes look fantastic. One of the girls that I work with loved your kitchen wall so much that she's going to try to re-create it in her own house.

I think you did a dang good job. I have been wanting to make some changes in our home for quite a while now. I just don't know how to cut chair rail, apply wood to walls and cut wood very good. So I need a man that can help. I love projects and I think you did a dang good job.
